What is a Daily Money Manager (DMM)?

A daily money manager is a professional who provides a wide range of personal business assistance to clients who want help managing their day-to-day monetary affairs. DMMs often organize and track financial and medical insurance papers, pay bills, and maintain bank accounts.

A daily money manager can save you time and hassle. DMMs can also refer you to other professionals such as tax, legal, and investment advisors, and ultimately simplify your life. If you lack the time or struggle with bills paying, preparing checks or bank deposits, balancing your checkbook, or organizing and maintaining financial records, you are not alone. A daily money manager can help you with these tasks and more.

Who benefits from working with a DMM?

  • Seniors and older adults
  • Adult children responsible for managing an aging parent’s affairs
  • Busy professionals
  • Frequent travelers

  • People in life transitions
  • Military personnel and veterans
  • People with disabilities
  • Individuals who lack time/skills for personal paperwork

What is a CMA?

A Certified Management Accountant is similar to a CPA, except a CMA works privately in a company rather than as an external public accountant. A CMA uses accounting information to make financial decisions and help manage the business. A CMA has to pass a certification exam and take 30 hours of continuing professional education each year to stay up to date on current accounting practices and ethical standards.

Who benefits from working with a DMM?

How much do DMM services cost?

You’ll find that my services cost less than other professional services like CPAs and tax, financial, or legal advisors. Services can be billed monthly or hourly at the client’s option.

Will I be locked into a long-term contract?

No. You can decide how you would like to set up my services – ranging from monthly, ongoing service to one-time projects -  as needed.

What if I think I can handle the work myself, can you help me get started?

Absolutely! I’d be happy to teach you how to establish sound money management practices and procedures.

Who benefits from working with a DMM?

Do your services include tax, legal, and investment advice?

No. Our services are meant to complement the work of these other professionals and to keep you organized and ready to meet with them. If you want, I can join you in discussions with these other professionals to help you with any questions you have for them and to understand the services that they are providing.
